PRESS: Russia’s Cognitive Pilot to sell ag autopilots in US

MOSCOW, Aug 4 (PRIME) -- Cognitive Pilot, a joint venture of Russia’s bank Sberbank and software maker Cognitive Technologies, has registered an affiliate firm in the U.S. state of Texas, Cognitive Pilot Corp., business daily Vedomosti reported on Wednesday.

The company will promote in the U.S. a system of management of driverless agricultural machinery Cognitive Agro Pilot, which can pilot, for example, a harvester working on a field or a tractor, among others, Cognitive Pilot General Director Olga Uskova told the daily.

Cognitive Pilot’s prices make it competitive in the U.S.

“At the first stage, the autopilot will be sold in Kansas, Oklahoma, Ohio, and Texas, where such systems are not licensed,” she said.

“Besides, we received a license of the state of Delaware to sell and exploit Cognitive Agro Pilot. We plan to obtain permitting documents and open sales in the other 11 leading agricultural states.”
